7th October 2006 Windsurfing: saunton sands Wind Direction: w Wind Stength: 15 - 20 Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: A lot less wind today could of done with a bit more but beggers can't be chosers. Wind picked up for about 2 hours and once I got the hang of getting over a wave then bearing away pumping like hell to get on the plane it was fantastic riding up and down between the waves. Things alot more comfortable today only proper sailing for a little while but with a big grin factor. Once the wind dropped had a little go catching the waves and riding them in. I was tempted to hire a surfboard but didn't fancy all the paddling and didn't fancy all the waiting around for a wave. Us windsurfers christened the surfers floaters as once point we counted 60 + people in the water not one was riding a wave! When they did catch a wave there were some very out of control people someone I was with was run down he was asked if it was ok as he managed to say something he was left to it, even though he was seeing stars! |
